Perfectly private and oh, so charming, the Hacienda is an estate tucked away amid the 40 acres that make up Rancho Valencia. We love the intimate, romantic vibe at this home, which features a large backyard with a rustic, Mexican-inspired poolhouse - just the spot for a gorgeous cake or dessert table. A pool provides an interesting display for floating candles and flowers (just say yes!) and just around the corner is a secret garden dotted with lemon trees and rose bushes. With the ability to transform from an enchanted garden wedding to a chic affair under the stars, this space nearly tip tops our list of favorite Rancho Valencia venues…and we hope it’s on yours too.
AL FRESCO ELEGANCE From the stunning orchid lamps to the vodka caviar bar lounge (complete with a crystal chandelier!), we can’t help but swoon over the beautiful details of this wedding. design / thomas bui lifestyle photos / paul barnett florals / isari flower studio take a peek
SECRET GARDEN Vintage loveliness at its most beautiful. This photo shoot showcases all of the little details that make the Hacienda so very unique – and, picture perfect.

This is one sweet event not to be missed. Coming to San Diego, January 13 - 15, Honeyfest is a community event in celebration of the important role bees play in sustainable food systems. Learn about the benefits of bee products, take part in film screenings, bee keeping workshops, honey product sampling (which sounds oh, so delicious) and much more. It’s going to “bee” quite fun, we think! In addition to raising the buzz about bees and sweetening up San Diego with a little honey, this special three day event also benefits Grow Strong, which supports the efforts of small-scale bee keepers in San Diego and Kenya.
Honeyfest takes place in different spots around town like Balboa Park and the Peace Resource Center of San Diego. For more information and to reserve your space in workshops, head over to the Honeyfest website.
